Curatorial Talk – Ying Ang with Eriko Koga

Yumi Goto, a curator, will start holding a talk session with Photographers entitled “Curatorial Talk” at random times from October 2012. The first two guests are the two award winners of this year’s Photo City Sagamihara Award, Ying Ang, who won the Asia Award, and Eriko Koga who won the New Face Incentive Award.

The relations between the two photographers and the curator started from two years ago. Ying Ang was one of the photographers who joined in part of Yumi`s curation called “Asian Women Photographers,” which Yumi selected from the public entries at the Angkor Photo Festival in 2010. Also, Yumi helps with nominating the Asia Award at the Photo City Sagamihara, so since then, they have know each other. Not only her but also, if there is any chance to show other Asian Photographers, it will be splendid.
Eriko Koga and Yumi met luckily, and in September 2012, Yumi will be introducing Eriko as one of the photographers that she would like to present to the world at the Bursa Photo Fest, in Turkey.

It is very honorable to have such two Award winning photographers as guests for the first “Curatorial Talk” we are holding.
On that day, we will have the two photographers talk about their work by showing some of their works, and we will have this session for the purpose of congratulating the two for winning the awards. We hope to see you all on that special day, and we hope you all have a wonderful evening there.
You can also see the their biographies and the works in the link below.
