RPS KYOTO PAPEROLES bookbinding workshop is now accepting applications. Deadline is April 10 (first-come-first-served priority deadline).

In commemoration of the opening of RPS KYOTO PAPEROLES, we will hold the first workshop on bookbinding, which has been held frequently in Tokyo and has been well received. The instructor, Moe Suzuki also participated in the RPS Photobook Workshop “Photobook As Object” as an artist, and produced a book entitled “Sokohi” which won the prestigious Dummy Award at the Arles International Photography Festival. In addition, last year, she was selected as one of the artists for the KYOTOGRAPHIE satellite event “KG+Select”. Some of you may have seen her work in Kyoto.
This year’s workshop will be held with Moe, who continues to work as an artist, as an instructor, with the aim of learning bookbinding techniques. The workshop is designed for those who do not yet have a solid body of work or who only want to learn bookbinding, but also for those who want to learn the basics of bookbinding in three days. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity.

This workshop is a bookbinding workshop. The purpose of this workshop is to learn the basics of bookbinding using blank paper. This is not the same as a photo book production workshop, which is designed to develop the concept, editing, and layout for producing a photo book. Please take note of this when applying.
