PHOTOBOOK AS OBJECT PHOTOBOOK WHO CARES | KYOTOGRAPHIE PHOTOBOOK FAIR 2026 (May 9-10)

PHOTOBOOK AS OBJECT / PHOTOBOOK WHO CARES will participate in the KYOTOGRAPHIE PHOTOBOOK FAIR 2026, a satellite event of the KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival, on May 9 and 10.

PHOTOBOOK AS OBJECT / PHOTOBOOK WHO CARES is a group of artists who create photobooks through activities based at Reminders Photography Stronghold. Each handmade book unfolds its narrative through the intricate layering of gathered materials. Design, format, paper, and edition size all play an essential role in shaping the work’s meaning. We see the photobook, in this fully realized form, as an art form that enables readers to experience the work as a story.

Also, as part of the KYOTOGRAPHIE PHOTOBOOK FAIR 2026 talk program, PHOTOBOOK AS OBJECT / PHOTOBOOK WHO CARES will present a talk titled “The Artist Book as Structure” on Saturday, May 9, at 13:00.

Speakers include Moeko Ishiguro, Yuri Goto, Kenji Chiga, and Tamaki Yoshida, moderated by Yumi Goto, curator of Reminders Photography Stronghold.

We warmly invite you to join us.
