10/4-10/5 PHOTOBOOK AS OBJECT / PHOTOBOOK WHO CARES at T3 PHOTOBOOK MARCHE 2025 (October 4-5)
We are pleased to announce that PHOTOBOOK AS OBJECT / PHOTOBOOK WHO CARES will be participating in T3 PHOTOBOOK MARCHE 2025.
PHOTOBOOK AS OBJECT / PHOTOBOOK WHO CARES is a collective of artists who have developed their practices through the workshops, masterclasses, and Atlas Lab programs hosted by Reminders Photography Stronghold. Together, they continue to explore the photobook as a form of expression—conceptual, tactile, and deeply intentional—through active participation in photobook fairs and related events both in Japan and abroad.
These books are not simply sequences of images bound together.
They begin with a question: How can we describe reality—and how might we recompose it?
From the earliest stages of image-making through editing, layout, design, and binding, each artist constructs the book as a whole—where the format, materials, structure, and even the edition size are inseparable from the work’s concept and voice.
To us, the photobook is a total artwork.
It speaks through both form and content, engages the senses, unfolds over time, and invites the reader into an encounter with perception, memory, and meaning.
Our booth will feature a wide range of works—from artist books produced in limited editions, entirely conceived and realized by the artists themselves, to trade editions published by independent presses, as well as titles that have received international recognition through major dummy book awards.
Throughout the event, several of the participating artists will be present to engage in conversation and share insights into their working process.
Each photobook is a singular space of thought and vision.
We invite you to spend time with these works—to hold them, turn their pages, and read not only what is shown, but what is made possible through the book as form.
