Giuseppe Oliverio (b. Bologna, 1985) is an Italian entrepreneur, curator and filmmaker. In 2012 he founded phmuseum.com, a curated online platform dedicated to contemporary photography. Nowadays the project features the work of 4,000 selected photographers and connects them with photo editors and curators, who can discover and publish their visual stories directly from the platform.
PHmuseum is also known for its annual Grant, an international photographic contest organized with the aim of discovering new talents and awarding the best visual stories of the year. In every edition the contest receives more than 1,000 submissions and former jury members include Martin Parr (Magnum Photos), Kira Pollack (TIME), James Estrin (New York Times), Alec Soth (Magnum Photos), Arianna Rinaldo (Cortona OTM) and Iatã Cannabrava (Estudio Madalena).
Giuseppe has given talks on 2.0 photography at international festivals like Paraty Em Foco in Brazil and Ojo de Pez Meeting in Spain and written for media like TIME. His first short documentary A Conscious Dream has been selected to 9 film festivals across Europe, USA and Latin America and was awarded the best documentary short prize at 2016 Manchester International Film Festival.
Giuseppe holds a degree in Economics at Bocconi University (Milan) and a Master Degree in Quantitative Finance at Cass Business School (London).
